My name is Petra. My bio from my late 20s said: "I like books and languages and knitting and sewing and CATS. Especially cats. I'm working on getting a new job, in a different part of the country and in the field I trained for, so in the near future I may post about my job search, moving, etc. As part of the moving/revamping my life I also dream of adopting a cat but we'll see.

I'm now in my mid-30s. All of these things are still true except the moving part and the wanting to adopt a cat thing. I did move to where I planned five years ago, I'm working in the field I trained in (but want to switch jobs for the gazillionth time), and I've realised I wouldn't enjoy living with a cat right now/possibly ever. I'm happily mooching off other people's pet photos and slow blinking at every cat I come across on my walks (not many, it seems people here are good about keeping them indoors) and coming to terms with the fact that I may eventually prefer to adopt a staffordshire terrier or similar DOG. WHAT.

I still spend a lot of time on textile crafts but these days I care far more about weightlifting (for strength and muscles, no competitions and I can't remember if I mean weightlifting or weight lifting ... I just go to the gym and play with the barbells okay) and singing (in private + in choirs). For the last many years I've journalled pretty regularly here but only as private posts. Recently I've been thinking about maybe wanting to post some things publically but I'm not quite comfortable with the idea yet.
